Excellent article in the latest Reel Deals on the Salvation Army Limelight
Department by Kev Franzi.

There is a new feature length doco on the Department, it premiered a few
months ago. I’m not sure of releasing arrangements, but I saw it at its
premiere and it is excellent.

PS:
I should have thought to add that here in Canberra there is a street named
after Joseph Perry. It’s Perry Drive, and it’s the main drag in the suburb of
Chapman. All the streets in Chapman are named after historic film and
theatre personalities.

BLOOPER

For some unexplained reason the picture which appeared at the top of page
7 in Kev Franzi’s article “Salvation and the Cinema” was corrupted and
made no sense. This picture of Joseph Perry with an array of equipment
from the Limelight Department was the intended image. My apologies to
Kev.
