A FEW THOUGHTS FROM BARRY McLEAN
After 48 years of working with 35mm, I changed to collecting and using 16 mm, I find it great,
and I have made a number of friends through Reel Deals.
In my area, I have heard of several Bell and Howell projectors just sitting unused in sheds.
So, in the New Year, let’s make a big effort to find unused 16 mm films and equipment. There
must be people who have a house full of films and don’t know what to do with them. I’m prepared
go anywhere in Australia to help with a clean out. I am going to run some ‘wanted’ ads in some
of our papers to see what happens.
I have been busy setting up my outdoor theatre, although the rain and cold have caused a bit of a
holdup. I now have two Eiki projectors, a rewinder, the non-sync sound is now operating and all
cables to my new big ‘scope screen are buried under the lawn. So far, I have two bookings for the
CFA and one for the Lawn Bowls group.
I would like to wish everyone a big happy Christmas and New Year, and especially to Mike for
the work he does with RD.
